| Details: | Left message for Mr. Helgeson (or whoever is now in charge of water system) regarding positive total coliform in March 2020 sample. Relayed that follow-up samples are needed and to please call me regarding taking the samples. As it is later Friday afternoon - samples can't be taken to lab today. Will try again on Monday to contact operator. 3/16/2020 - Mr. Helgeson called me today. He was advised by DWS to take coliform, Nitrate and Arsenic. He took these. I advised that he will need to take Nitrate once per year. Advised that currently he is on quarterly coliform sampling. Due to the positive TC, he is to take three repeat samples in distribution system, and one sample at the source (well). He advised that there are 6 homes on the water system and there is no treatment. Some of the individual homes have their own treatment at the point of service. I explained to him that the reason he was contacted is that the DWS is following up on systems that have been designated non-EPA. Advised he will need to take three temporary routine samples in distribution in April. |
