| Details: | Rick Hallmark said he would mail a letter to Millicoma regarding the monthly source water monitoring requirement that started in February. He sent an email about it earlier in the month but is not sure it got through due to intermittent connectivity on their end. Background: Following EC+ results at Millicoma, Rick Hallmark conducted a Level 2 investigation and found several defects. Some defects were at the source and some elsewhere in the system. They had corrected the issues he'd identified at the source before Rick's 11/22/19 visit, but defects at the cistern (after water left the source) still remain unaddressed. As far as the Groundwater Rule goes, they have fixed the potential temporary/correctable contamination at the source, and will now conduct 12 months of source assessment monitoring to see if their corrections did the trick (to eliminate EC at the source). They have a UV treatment unit so the source water quality would not be reflected in the distribution samples. Meanwhile, DWS enforcement staff sent Millicoma a warning letter on 2/24/2020 to correct the remaining sanitary defects from the Level 2 investigation. The system remains on a boil water advisory in the meantime. |
