| Details: | SUMMARY: The routine sample collected on 10/27/06 tested positive for total coliform. DETAILS: Linda stated that the well pump was pulled recently. It was cycling too frequently and water logging the pressure tanks. Alton Pump added a check valve, the pump was reinstalled and the well was chlorinated with one gallon of bleach as well as several chlorine tablets. Although this work was done recently, Linda thinks it is likely that RV space #4 was positive because she did not flame the faucet. 4 repeat samples were submitted today. Per Grants Pass Water Lab, the repeat collected at the well tested positive while the remaining three samples in the distribution tested negative. This is an unusual result. Scott Curry and I discussed the matter and agreed that either the well sample was not collected properly, or there is a very low level of coliform in the system. As per Scott’s advice, I called Linda and asked her to take one special sample at the well to verify the results. She is going to collect the sample tomorrow. ACTION NEEDED: Linda needs to collect one special sample at the well. | ||
