| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine sample collected 10/10/06 positive for total coliform DETAILS: Called and spoke with Ernies sister (?). Ernie was in the process of chlorinating the well so he could not come to the phone. Apparently they had to pull the pump as a result of a bad check valve. They intended to take a special sample after this work but did not. Four repeat samples have not been collected. Ernie went straight to chlorination, as he knew exactly what caused the problem (the chlorination done immediately after the work on the well was not adequate). This is a violation of sampling protocol but given the circumstance it is understandable why they chose to respond this way. Ernie is going to submit samples after the chlorination process is complete. 10/16/06- Per Neilson Labs, 4 repeat samples passed. ACTION NEEDED: 5 routine samples need to be collected in November. | ||
