| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform positive routine sample and 4 negative repeats DETAILS: Casey Lyon, Russ Kazmierczak, and I took a routine coliform sample during my Sanitary Survey on 2/27/07. I was notified by the lab that the sample came out positive. The system chlorinates but there was no chlorine present in the sample. I spoke with Patti Smith, who spoke with her contact at Rainbow Pump, and they thought the sample might have been positive because the tap was a frost-free type. She said Rainbow Pump tested chlorine in other parts of the system and it was present however the chlorine pump needed to be primed. She took the 4 repeat samples and they came out negative for coliform and did have chlorine residuals. I instructed Patti to take 5 follow-up routine samples in March. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of the 5 routine samples. | ||
