| Details: | SUMMARY: Plan review inspection of new chlorination system. DETAILS: I visited the South Nebergall Loop WS on 3/28/2007 to conduct a plan review inspection of the new chlorination system. While on-site, I met with a resident who was filling in for the managers. We reviewed procedures for collecting the daily chlorine residual and quarterly coliform bacteria samples. The chlorinator was out of solution the day of the visit and there was no detectable level of chlorine in the distribution. The resident filled the dosing tank while I was on-site. I collected a coliform sample from the well (raw/special) and a routine sample from house #480. The chlorination system appeared to meet the specifications approved through plan review other than the fact it was out of chlorine solution. The chlorine used is NSF approved at a 12.5% concentration. ACTION NEEDED: Submit a plan review checklist to Tom Charbonneau along with sample results, EP structure diagram, and picture of the chlorination system. Await results of coliform samples. Follow-up with Tom C. on contact time required in his 2/23/2007 approval letter. | ||
