| Details: | Wylesha emailed me and Nicole Bailey (NCPHD) on March 19th to request removing UV disinfection installed at the well serving Celilo Park east of The Dalles. The UV equipment was added in 2009 to address total coliform issues. The water supplier completed 12 months of source assessment sampling in 2010 with few total coliform positive samples, and there have been no coliform positive samples since May 2014. An April 2014 source sample was E. coli positive, however follow up sampling did not confirm the presence of coliform. No source deficiencies were identified during the water system survey conducted in 2016. The water supplier's request to remove UV light disinfection at the well is approved, and has been informed to collect a trigger source sample from the well in the event a routine sample is coliform positive in the distribution system. The water supplier has also been instructed to revise their coliform sampling plan to reflect these monitoring changes. No further action at this time. |
