| Details: | SUMMARY: Reviewed Districts plans to relocate an existing sodium hypochlorite injection system DETAILS: Lamontai Improvement District is a groundwater system with multiple wells that pump to a common intermediate tank which then pumps water to the distribution system and main storage tank based on a level signal from the main tank. Water is currently chlorinated at one well in order to provide a residual within the overall system. Because multiple wells provide water to the system, it is difficult to maintain a consistent chlorine dose. Mr. Butner has developed a plan to relocate the existing chlorine solution injection equipment in order to improve dosing control. He contacted HBH Consulting Engineers to ask if we could review the plan prior to submission to the DWP.Reviewed plan proposed by operator to relocate chlorine solution injection equipment and verified dosing rate calculations. Began writing Engineering Review letter for plans modify disinfection system. ACTION NEEDED: Complete review letter and recommendations for disinfection system. | ||
