Details: | SUMMARY: 2 of 4 repeat samples TC pos. DETAILS: (Well and space 5 were positive while the front lawn and the rec. area were negative.) I called and left message for Sid explaining that we really need to talk to the owner about installing continuous chlorination as this problem is not being resolved. Short of that, they will have to shock the system again. Sid called me back and informed me that he shock chlorinated the water system last weekend. We talked about the need for continuous chlorination. I called owner Skip Hedrich and left him a voicemail requesting that he call and discuss this issue with me. I notified Scott Curry of the situation. Skip returned my call. We discussed continuous disinfection possibilities. Skip is opposed to the idea and believes that the samples are positive as a result of improper collection technique. He thinks that the air may be contaminating the samples and would like to build an isolation box to sample in. He is going to fly up next week to try this. I advised Skip that he needs to collect five routine samples this month and that if there is any coliform present he will need to contact Scott Curry to discuss disinfection possibilities. ACTION NEEDED: Five routine samples need to be collected in the month of February. |
