Details: | SUMMARY: System referred to circuit rider program to develop XC control ordinance with enabling authority DETAILS: This CWS serves the City of Heppner with 683 connections and a population of approximately 1,475. The system is supplied by a well field comprised of four wells with a fifth well on a separate entry point as an emergency backup. The state DWP does not have a copy of a cross connection ordinance on file for this system. I called the city and spoke with the city manager, Dave DeMayo. We discussed the requirement for the city to have a cross connection control ordinance with enabling authority. He said that he thought that the city does have and ordinance and said that he would look for it. I called back and learned that they do have the ordinance, so I emailed to confirm that a copy of the ordinance must be submitted to the state DWP (see attached). Also, offered additional technical assistance if desired. ACTION NEEDED: The city needs to submit a copy of their cross connection control ordinance, either with their annual summary report (ASR) by March 31 or separately if the ASR has already been submitted. |
