Details: SUMMARY: Wastewater Irrigation near DW Reservoir DETAILS: Karl updated Jim Solvedt and Pete on the wastewater irrigation system Spirit Mountain Casino is installing next to Grand Ronde’s drinking water reservoir later this spring.

While Jim and I agree that the risk to the drinking water system is low or non-existent based on previous evaluations, Karl could pursue the following options:

Take Heterotrophic Plate Counts (HPC) of the water in the reservoir before and after irrigation system installation
Speak with the reservoir manufacturer about options on protective modifications you could make to the reservoir
· Request the daily wastewater quality data – specifically coliform counts – from the Casino to assure the treatment plant is producing Level IV quality effluent as designed

Letter was written to Karl 5.11.07 to this effect. ACTION NEEDED: Wait to see if Karl wants to setup a mtg with Spirit Mountains engineer, et al.
