Details: | I contacted Jeffrey Kee via email on March 27, 2020. Mr. Kee replied back to me on March 28, 2020. His response was "I forwarded your query to Kevin at Gran Moraine. Neither issue has been resolved to my knowledge. The Client said that a daily chlorine measurement would be difficult to conduct and they were going to visit with ODA to try and reduce the frequency of testing. I can share that we have scheduled an inspection of the storage tanks. Will keep you posted as I hear back." I am waiting to hear from Jeffrey Kee, the contact person for the Gran Moraine Winery Water System. 4/8/20 visited with Jeffrey Kee over the phone (503-939-7939), concerning the deficiencies from the survey. He had a misunderstanding as to what was required. He now understands that he needs to acquire a DPD test kit for free chlorine. The test will need to be done daily and recorded, just after the two- 3,000 gallon tanks. These tanks need to ensure there is some sort of chlorine residual in the tanks to ensure bacteria does not grow. If there is no chlorine, then NSF approved chlorine will need to be added to the tanks to ensure the water remains safe while sitting in the tanks. Jeffrey agreed to contact me within two weeks to update me on the corrections to these deficiencies. He also agreed to work on the 2018 conditional approval to get a final approval with Pete Farrelly. ~Sarah Schwab 5/28/20 visited with Jeffrey Kee over the phone (503-939-7939), concerning the deficiencies from the survey and not hearing back within 2 weeks from my last contact about this issue on 4/8/20. Mr. Kee stated that a DPD test kit had been purchased, but he has not received a response from the maintenance staff member on site to verify if the samples are being taken daily, recorded, and if they are absent for chlorine if NSF approved chlorine is added to the tanks for a residual. We discussed that the next steps would be a formal letter. ~Sarah Schwab |
