Details: | SUMMARY: CWS has not done consumer confidence reports on a consistent basis DETAILS: City of Wallowa operates a community water system with 450 connections serving a population of approximately 870. The system is supplied by a single well with a second well available as an emergency backup. While water quality has consistently met state and EPA standards, the CWS was referred to the circuit rider program because it has not prepared or distributed annual consumer confidence reports (CCR) on a consistent basis. Called Terry Larm to discuss the need for the annual CCR and to make an appointment for a site visit to work on one together. Pulled pertinent water quality data for this system off the state data system (SDWIS). Visited Larm at City Hall and we were joined by Travis Goebel (wastewater operator). Showed both how to log on to the state DWP website and SDWIS. Noted that several tests were missing on SDWIS which Larm thought had been done. Larm located L and C tests for 2002 and 2003 as well as 2002 radiologicals. We proceeded to log on to the CCRiWriter website and create a CCR for 2005 (see attached) using all of the available test results. Called up and printed a sample certification form. Reviewed the requirements for distribution of the CCR and for submitting to the DWP. Reminded them that the 2006 CCR is due by July 1, 2007. ACTION NEEDED: See attached letter to the City of Wallowa. |
