| Details: | SUMMARY: State regulated: 1 of 5 temp routines taken 1/9/07 TC positive DETAILS: 1 of 5 temp routines taken 1/9/07 from the "office tap" was TC pos. The good news is the temp routine taken from the well head was absent for coliform. I spoke to Terry and asked if he felt good about his sample sites. He knows that samples taken from swivel faucets and/or faucets with screens/aerator can be bad sites. He said he would review with the guy who actually does the sampling (its not Terry) proper sampling technique including removing screens/aerators prior to sampling. Terry said the working theory now is that last August when the pipe broke it introduced coliform into the system along with mud. They checked the reservoir and found sediment in it. The plan now is to clean the reservoir, disinfect the system, the take 5 temp routines in February. ACTION NEEDED: I will continue to monitor. The system is still on a boil water notice and employees are still provided bottled water. | ||
