| Details: | SUMMARY: Operator will collect nitrate sample, keep PN in place, look at city hookup DETAILS: Operator reports that a coliform sample taken from the well on 1/3/07 prior to disinfection was positive for total coliform and for E. coli. He will keep the boil water advisory in place and collect another coliform sample seven days after disinfection. He will collect a nitrate sample ASAP to determine if sewage is causing the contamination. The sewage, if present, would most likely be due to leaky sewage lines serving the mobile homes. ACTION NEEDED: Operator will contact the city of Sweet Home to determine if connecting to city water is an option. If not, he will contact vendors re: visualizing the casing to determine its condition and rehabbing the well. I mentioned that short-term continuous chlorination might be an option to RTC prior to a permanent fix. | ||
