| Details: | SUMMARY: Cross connection enabling authority DETAILS: HBH Consulting Engineers Inc., representing the ODHS-DWP circuit rider program received notice that the Old Sheep Ranch water system did not have a current enabling authority on file with the Drinking Water Program. The Old Sheep Ranch water system is a development located within the general area of the Langlois Water District. The water source is a deep well with soda ash for pH stabilization treatment as the raw water pH tends to run <5.0. All services have a check valve at the service tap as the only separation from the supply water. The meeting with Carol, board member from the OSF water system, and Dave Terussa was held in the Langlois Water District office. The enabling authority document was reviewed as it pertains to the OARs 333-061-0070 with the relevant key phrases and words discussed at length. Carol took many notes as we discussed examples of cross-connection and back-siphoning situations likely to occur in an agricultural setting such as the Old Sheep Ranch. ACTION NEEDED: Follow up with any question Carol or her board may have of the program. Work with the OSR to complete the 2006 annual summary report if requested. | ||
