| Details: | SUMMARY: Fecal positive response DETAILS: After speaking with the Tillamook county sanitarians, we agreed that I would handle the response on this issue since they are busy and it is a state-regulated system and therefore not in their contract. They got a fecal positive and 2 repeats were positive for total coliform only. I called Irma and she said the B&B is closed, and they do not have a guest until 7/14. She is out of town and will get back 7/12. At that time she will shock chlorinate the well and system. I reviewed the procedures with her. She said she and her husband have done it before. They will flush out the lines and wait until there is no more chlorine before taking 2 more samples. She has bottled water available all the time and tells guests not to drink the water. The system is currently listed as inactive, likely due to low usage. ACTION NEEDED: Find out if this system should be re-activated, depending on how many people they serve (not likely to serve an average of 10 per day). | ||
