| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform routine sample DETAILS: I received an alert for a positive total coliform routine sample taken on 7/5/07. I exchanged messages with Larry Lassiter who said they removed the hand pump handle, shocked the well, pumped it, waited for a chlorine free sample, and took the 4 repeat samples. They chose to shock right away because this has been a historical problem. I reminded him that the repeat samples should be taken right away, before shocking. Larry thinks the cause of the coliform may be that the piston rod seals need to be replaced. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of the 4 repeat samples. | ||
