| Details: | SUMMARY: MCL Coliform DETAILS: Water system was notified of the positive repeat sample for coliform. The operator indicated that he is pretty sure the reason the sample was positive is due to the sample location. He tried to collect a sample from the faucet inside Quarters 1 building, but was not able to remove the aerator, so a sample was collected from the outside faucet. The opertor thinks that he did not flush system long enough prior to sample collection and the faucet is also a frost free type hose bib. ACTION NEEDED: The operator said he will shock chlorinate the system and then collect 5 routine samples. He also said that he will post a Tier 2 Public Notice. The operator was emailed links to the disinfection procedures and a public notice fact sheet. | ||
