| Details: | SUMMARY: Change sampline schedule and clarification DETAILS: Independences lab submitted "special" samples to DWP as compliance samples for their PCE testing. The VOC samples were actually raw water, not the treated water that people are drinking. Submitting those results was a mistake. Independence installed treatment in 2006 specifically designed to remove the PCE contamination in their South Wells aquifer. Due to the effectiveness of the treatment, they were allowed to maintain a reduced VOC schedule. But it is important to establish that the treatment is operating well before reducing the sampling frequency to triennially. ACTION NEEDED: Increase sampling frequency to quarterly until Spring 2008. If No-Detects are recorded for one year, the schedule could be reduced to triennially after evaluation. |
