| Details: | SUMMARY: Site Visit to Follow Up on Coliform Violations DETAILS: Drove to site and met with Frank and Larry Lawrence. Reviewed the chlorination procedure that was used. The chlorinator had been run a couple times, and chlorine was detectable by taste/odor in the distribution system, but the operator had no test kit to measure the residual. Running the chlorinator alone without batch chlorinating the reservoir may not have disinfected the entire volume of water in storage. I collected three repeat samples at the wellhead, store, and Franks house. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to purchase chlorine test kit, batch chlorinate reservoir while running the chlorinator, flush water lines, then collect additional repeat samples. | ||
