| Details: | SUMMARY: Park resident called and complained of frequent line breaks and loss of pressure DETAILS: A park resident called and complained that the system experiences frequent line breaks and loss of pressure. She does not believe that the repairs are being done with the proper material. Viki Coons said that there was a recent line break (there have been about three in the last year). When this occurs the whole system needs to be shut down, as there is no ability to isolate lines under repair. All repairs are done by Metro Drain and Plumbing. They are adding valving as they do repairs to avoid complete system shut down in the future. I also spoke with the complainant who said that the main issue as far as she is concerned is that the repairs are not being done properly (irrigation pipe- ABS? Is being used rather than PVC). She said that most of the lines in the park are rotting and need to be replaced. I notified the complainant that I would investigate the material usage issue and get back to her. Scott Curry advised that we do not regulate distribution system construction on private property. I redirected the complainant to the Jackson County Building Department. ACTION NEEDED: No further action is needed at this time. | ||
