Details: SUMMARY: boil response DETAILS: Dayton is on a boil alert. Pete handled in on Friday. He asked me about it before I left on Friday and I believe he did the correct thing. Positive EColi followed by a positive TC repeat (at a different site). Anyway Gary at the county called and said they are handling it. He will inspect the sample sites/plan today. Also, try to increase chlorine residual. They are going to add chlorine to the reservoir. Calculated out that 30 gallons of 12.5 % into a 1.5mg res will give them 2.5 ppm. Gary said that city added 15 gallons earlier and only got 0.5 ppm. He will ask them to add 15 gallons of 12.5% again. This will flush through system. They will try to up the chlorine feed system to always keep a 0.5 ppm residual. Normal working residuals in the system are much lower than that. ACTION NEEDED: Gary to keep working with system.
