| Details: | SUMMARY: PCE contamination sampling schedule refining DETAILS: Wells 1-3 have carbon filters on them (for VOC treatment). Well #2 currently has PCE contamination, while Wells 1 & 3 do not (yet?). Wells 1-3 all produce the same 200 gpm per well flowrate everyday of the year and then flow into a reservoir before reaching the EP Wells 4 & 5 are essentially emergency wells, though Ed wants to keep them Active on sdwis. Therefore, since equally proportional blending is essentially always in effect, the quarterly PCE & vinyl chloride sampling may occur at the entry point - after the reservoir. Independence takes raw water samples on all three wells roughly every 6 months. Ed thinks the contaminant concentrations are beginning to wane. ACTION NEEDED: Sample the blended water coming from the reservoir at the entry point for vinyl chloride & PCE quarterly for one year. |
