| Details: | I received an email from Suzann Winder a customer served by the Noble Avenue Duplex about the water quality concerns at her rental unit. Routine and repeat samples collected at her address of March 19th and 20th were total coliform positive. I explained the coliform results shown online. She asked about landlord responsibilities to test water inside her residence. I provided her with a link to the Oregon State Bar landlord-tenants website rules and contact information. I informed her the coliform positive samples triggered an investigation that was completed April 20th. I spoke with Scott Kruger with Benton County about the investigation. A frost free spigot on the property used for sampling was targeted as a source of coliform bacteria. Follow up samples collected April 14th and 15th were coliform absent and the water system is currently in compliance with the drinking water requirements. I suggested she talk with Hunter Galbreath the primary contact for the water system. If she has additional questions or concerns she will contact Scott at Benton County Environmental Health. No further action needed at this time. |
