| Details: | SUMMARY: unrepresentative copper samper DETAILS: I received an alert for a 90th percentile copper exceedance at 1.45 mg/L taken on 7/9/07. I spoke with Jim Myers who said that the home that had the high copper result (2.5 mg/L, others were 0.4 mg/L, 0.36, 0.15, and 0.08), Space #18, had recent plumbing work upstream of the kitchen tap. We told Jim to take another sample at the bathroom tap in the same home. This sample had 0.18 mg/L copper. Jim sent me a letter explaining the original unrepresentative sample and requesting the original result be replaced with the new result. Our Data Management group approved this request and the system will be returned to compliance with the Lead and Copper rule. I sent Jim an e-mail of the approval. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of next round of Lead and Copper sample results in 3 years. | ||
