| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water Update DETAILS: Called to get an update on the recent leaks and boil water notice - Spoke to Bill Mitchell who said that Friday they fixed a major line break. The reservoirs were filled and held steady. They contacted Clatsop Co emergency management and upon their approval, lifted the boil water notice and disconnected the emergency connection to Astoria. The system is back to normal operation and the 9 coliform samples they took all came back clean (TC-). Bill also said that he had given an update to Dave Leland who had contacted him earlier today. I called and spoke to Hal Nauman with Clatsop County, who said he was going to be in the vicinity and would stop by the water system to offer any assistance he could. I also spoke to Rob Henry with HBH, who reported that they have a lot of AC pipe that is 50 years old and is in need of replacement. ACTION NEEDED: Next steps will include a meeting with the water system and DWP to discuss the event and determine further actions. | ||
