| Details: | SUMMARY: 5 positive total coliform routine samples DETAILS: I received an alert for 5 positive total coliform routine samples taken on 11/19/07. I spoke with Donna at Coffey Lab on 11/30/07, who was concerned that there were 3 water systems in the area with positives at the same time. Caddisfly Resort and Rustic Skillet (1 mile away) had positive follow-up samples, but Inn at the Bridge (across from Caddisfly) had negative follow-ups. Caddisfly has a very shallow hand-dug well with no well report that is ~100 feet from the river. I spoke with Dick Lauer, who did not know the reason for the positives, but we discussed attempting to shock chlorinate the well again and/or hiring a professional to troubleshoot. Dick will take 5 follow-up routines the month of December. There is still no one staying at the resort, so public notice is not necessary. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of the follow-up samples. | ||
