| Details: | SUMMARY: General Assistance w/Water System Operations/WTP DETAILS: HBH was contacted by City Manager to provide general assistance with water system operations. I met with the City Manager to discuss the general operations of the water system. This included discussion of financial and technical considerations. The City has pressure/quality issues due to an undersized transmission main. We also discussed water rates and project funding. I met with water treatment plant operator at the treatment plant. Operation of the clearwell reservoir has been a problem. The level sensor is not reading correctly, leading to overflows. HBH indicated that the problem was likely a faulty sensor or corrosion in the attaching electronics causing a current drain. We also discussed operation of the pretreatment system. Operator has not previously operated this system. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time | ||
