Details: SUMMARY: More research suggests no grout seal on well DETAILS: After reviewing some more survey notes, and discussing with geologist, Dennis Nelson, it was ascertained that the owners options are:
formally abandon the well by pulling or ripping out the casing and filling hole with pressurized grout to prevent contamination.
or
proving grout seal is secure with help of well contractor.

It appears to be a shallow (40) well in an unconfined aquifer, less than 50 feet from the river, encased in a concrete pit on a high riverbank. ACTION NEEDED: Ascertain health of well.
Determine how the owner can move forward.
