Details: SUMMARY: Approval, Nitrate treatment unit, Plan Review 259-2007 DETAILS: On May 9, 2007 the water system installed a Kinetico Model 2030s ion exchange unit for nitrate removal. John Zalaznik inspected the unit on 6/21/2007 and a water sample was analyzed for nitrate by The City of The Dalles laboratory on 6/20/2007, result 3.92 mg/l. The treatment unit is NSF approved. This treatment unit is therefore approved. ACTION NEEDED: The treatment plant was entered in SDWIS 12/18/2007. The nitrate result of 3.92 mg/l was submitted by Zalaznik and should be entered by DWP.
