| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil water notice required after well was flooded DETAILS: Contacted Joe Donaldson to see if they needed assistance after severe storms and flooding over the weekend. The well was inundated by floodwaters from nearby Beneke Creek. I told them they needed to post a boil water notice, shock chlorinate and flush the system. The school had been closed due to the flooding. ACTION NEEDED: System posted boil notice 12/06/07, had water hauled in, flushed system, dininfected, and conducted follow-up sampling. The boil notice was rescinded December 17, 2007 and the system is looking into replacing their source to reduce the vulnerability to flooding. Plans are in progress to install slow sand filtration. | ||
