| Details: | Camp Tamarack has recently had a tracer test done, and the contact time tested out at 9 minutes. Currently they are not meeting CT for disinfection. Assistance Provided: Several improvements were suggested by the circuit rider to increase contact time: • The chlorination injection point will be moved to before the 200g coagulation tank to facilitate better mixing and to add some time • A diffuser/spraybar will be installed on the influent side of the cistern to create better mixing in the cistern • A larger prefilter housing and pre-filter will be installed Follow-Up Actions Needed: By the time the suggested changes to the system in the report have been made and the test could be scheduled, winter had come and with it only snowshoe access to the site. Circuit rider to come back out to perform the test in spring of 2020. |
