| Details: | SUMMARY: Letter of Recommendation for CCT received DETAILS: I received a contact report from HBH Engineers from 11/14/07, which included a letter of recommendation to Howard James for soda ash treatment to come into compliance with the Lead and Copper Rule. I spoke with Howard and he said he already installed the treatment without going through Plan Review. I told him I needed a letter of recommendation from him and to call Marsha Fox to begin the Plan Review process. He and I both spoke with Tom Charbonneau, who said that since treatment is already installed, Tom would just need a copy of the letter of recommendation and the results of the first 6-month round of sampling after treatment to verify that the treatment is working. I received the Letter of Recommendation from Howard on 12/18/07. He attached the recommendations from Darin Nicholson with HBH Engineers. I left a message for Howard and mailed a letter on 12/21/07 regarding the next steps to come into compliance with the Lead and Copper Rule. ACTION NEEDED: Two 6-month rounds of monitoring needed. The following needed in each round: 1 Lead and Copper at the 5 homes sampled previously-- 2 pH and alkalinity at 1 home in the distribution system (taken a couple weeks apart from each other)-- 1 pH at Entry Point every 2 weeks.
