| Details: | SUMMARY: The routine sample collected on August 29, 2007 tested positive for Total Coliform. DETAILS: Hydro- Flow, Inc. handles the testing for this system. They collected four repeat samples on September 5, 2007. Three of the repeat samples passed (routine test cock, bar sick, outside hose bib) while one failed (additional outside hose bid). Hydro-Flow is worried that the outside hose bibs are compromised by ani-siphon devices that can harbor bacteria. I agree that this is possible. I suggested that they not chlorinate the system at this time but collect the five routine samples that are required in this month early next week. They agreed to do so. Additional action will be determined based on the results of the five routine samples. ACTION NEEDED: Five routine samples need to be collected during the week of September 9, 2007. A public notice needs to be posted within thirty days as a result of the MCL violation that was just incurred. | ||
