| Details: | SUMMARY: Operator gave me a status report on the system. DETAILS: I contacted the operator regarding any corrective actions taken following the E.coli positive sample and my subsequent site visit. She states, one of the system users had made arrangements for the technician to look at the system, but she did not know his/her name or company affiliation. They have not disinfected the system. She states, there is a "low level" of chlorine residual currently in the distribution but not sure of the ppm. She states, they are using test strips to measure the free chlorine. I advised her to use a DPD-type kit that can accurately measure down to 0.2 ppm. She states, she had GI illness last week but has recovered. She did not see a medical provider. She is not aware of any other water system users having GI illness/symptoms recently. We discussed ensuring that all users are aware of the public notification. ACTION NEEDED: I will check with the operator next week to update progress toward corrective action. | ||
