| Details: | SUMMARY: Called water system regarding repeat samples that tested positive for Total Coliform DETAILS: A message was left on the answering machine for Gloria Arney regarding the four repeat samples that tested positive for Total Coliform. The water system was informed, that as a result of the positive repeat samples, a MCL violation has occurred and that a Tier 2 Public Notice will need to be issued to the customers. The message also included information on correcting the problem, such a shock chlorinating the well and distribution system. Informed the water system to contact our office if they did not have information or procedures on public notices or shock chlorinating. ACTION NEEDED: Issue a Tier 2 Public Notice and initiate a corrective action mesure, such as shock chlorinating the well and distribution system. | ||
