| Details: | SUMMARY: RAA for arsenic at the Garden Lake Wellfield exceeded MCL 4th quarter 2007. DETAILS: The running annual average for arsenic at the Garden Lake wellfield was exceeded at 0.011 mg/L. See email dated 12/20/2007 in file notifying Roy Sprout of exceedance and need for Tier 2 public notice. Treatment plant upgrades will address the arsenic problem and are scheduled to go to bid by May/June 2008. In addition, I was notified via email on 12/28/2007 that the Emerald Valley wellfield was brought on-line. The wellfield was sampled for arsenic and results will be reported as soon as they are available. Public notice may include results from Emerald Valley wellfield if the RAA is exceeded. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of Emerald Valley wellfield arsenic sampling and public notice. | ||
