Details: | Carl & Pete reviewed the two 1st Quarter sample results. The latest one in March was the best result in a over a decade. But it wasn't low enough to off-set the February result - with which it was averaged before used in the running annual average calculation. That LRAA exceeded the MCL. Between the Feb. and March samples, Carl: 1. determined one of the two sources has no detected TOC, while the other just had 0.61 mg/L. So he uses that South Fork source exclusively for now. 2. significantly reduced the residence time in the Aspmo tank by manipulating the pressure valve that controls when the distribution is fed by the tank vs. the WTP. Presumably, the second action was the game-changer, but it's not 100% clear. Action 1. Do nothing! Seems like they're on the correct path given the low DBP results. 2. He will send out the Public Notice before the June 1st deadline. |
