Details: SUMMARY: Storm damage has left system without ability to provide adequate treatment DETAILS: I spoke to Nick at Camp Yamhill and he said that they lost their pump house during the storm and flooding. They were able to make repairs and are now filtering to waste producing water at 2.6 NTU as of yesterday. He said that just prior to the storm, they had been relying on storage and have been ever since - no untreated water entered the system. They had water hauled in from Tualatin to fill their tank, but said that it was running low. He also said that the turbidity out of the 7,400 gallon chlorine tank was about 5 NTU - possibly from sediment stirred up in the tank when the levels run low and then more water is dumped in on top. He said he had been recording info (pH, chlorine, etc.), although there were a few days just prior to Greg Williams departure (he also said that Greg Williams resigned the first of this month) in which data was not recorded. He said his chlorine residual out of the clearwell is about 2.0 mg/l. He was wanting to know if he could bring the filters on-line to serve about 40 customers staying there this weekend. I told him that at this point the filters should not be brought back on-line and that he should prepare to post a boil water notice and have bottled water available to drink, but that I would get back to him today. He said that the "pool and spa" people were coming out to help him with the treatment system on Thursday. ACTION NEEDED: Discuss options with Chris Hughes and Gary VanDerVeen.
