| Details: | SUMMARY: Washington St. Well activated due to problems with Airport Wellfield treatment. DETAILS: The wastewater lagoon for the Arsenic treatment at the airport well field is full, so the Washington St. Well was activated on January 22. In addition, the column piping for the airport wells had developed leaks, so the piping at all the airport wells is being replaced. The arsenic level at the Washington St. Well was 19 ppb for a September 2007 sample. It is aniticipated that the airport well field treatment wont be activated again until March 2008. ACTION NEEDED: City will check the arsenic and nitrate levels in the Washington St. Well and the airport wells. Public notification will be done if necessary. | ||
