Details: SUMMARY: Equipment and Water Rights Issues DETAILS: The city requested assistance with water hammer problem due to either poor performance or improper design/operation of the Pressure Reducing Valve. In addition the City is in the process of adding a new well and was unsure of the next steps to be taken regarding engineering and water rights. I met with Dan Marshall to tour the system and discuss operating difficulties involving water hammer. I Inspected PRV Station and discussed valving and operations. I also reviewed existing water rights application to determine the proper course of action for the City to take to meet the requirements of Water Resources. I met with the City Council and provided recommendation to hire a Certified Water Rights Examiner to provide professional assistance with groundwater rights deadlines. I also recommended that the City contact GC systems to have Pressure Reducing Valve rebuilt to determine if this will solve the water hammer problem. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional assistance as requested.
