| Details: | SUMMARY: Generate cost estimates to complete Well #1 and to upgrade distribution DETAILS: I met with Client, operator and pump vendor on site. I reviewed system history and issues. Discussion offered the following significant resolutions to be developed into equipment cost options. 1. The well driller and pump vendor agree that the well was never enough to verify if it was good or bad, due to lack of funding at the time. This could be done for several thousand dollars, and should likely be considered before spending more on deeper drilling. 2. A new pressure tank as initially proposed could cost 10,000 to 20,000. If a variable frequency drive system were installed for closed to 5,000, it would allow for a much smaller pressure tank and also give benefits including increased electrical efficiency and lower operating costs. 3. Reviewed back up generator options. It was concluded one ‘Gen-Set’ could provide system backup during power outages, regardless of which system pumps were in “Lead” mode. ACTION NEEDED: Currently awaiting cost estimates for a well pump, motor, electrical, generator and peripheral equipment to be finalized in a report. Contact with pump vendor on 2/28 approximates estimates to be completed by 3/7. | ||
