| Details: | SUMMARY: Followup on high chlorine residual DETAILS: Jim Anderson called today with a follow up of the high chlorine residual issue in Lafayette. The water system is still diluting the chlorine concentration. The residual last night was 3.09 ppm and this morning the residual was 2.72 ppm. The residual is being measured every hour. Jim intends to turn the pump back on when the residual reaches 1.50 ppm. Calculations determined that a 5% setting using 12.5% chlorine would give a residual of .84 ppm, which is close to the target rate for the system. Jim anticipates that the residual will be back to normal by this evening. HBH did work with the system over the phone, but Jim felt it wasn’t necessary for HBH to send anyone out. We discussed public notification requirements. Jim is planning on putting the public notice in with the water billing this month. ACTION NEEDED: No further action needed. | ||
