| Details: | SUMMARY: Assistance with NSF 61 Coating on WTP Tankage DETAILS: HBH was contacted by system following a Sanitary Survey from DWP. The small community water system pulls water from Rock Creek. This water is treated by an old Key-Pac CCB package treatment plant. This plant is a conventional process using hydraulic coagulation/flocculation, followed by sedimentation, then rapid sand filtration. Following treatment, disinfection is accomplished by using liquid NaOCI. One of the recommended items in the Sanitary Survey was to contact HBH for assistance and recommendations for tank coating materials for the treatment plant. Although the treatment plant is aging, it remains in good performing condition. The water system has been advised that recoating the inside tankage will allow for a longer service life. Recommended local painting company contacts. Spoke at length with paint company (Sherman Williams) representative about the project. ACTION NEEDED: Provide further assistance with tank coating as needed. | ||
