| Details: | SUMMARY: Low Chlorine Residual Alert DETAILS: Contacted Thomas Merrell about a zero chlorine residual reported on the 04/03/08 coliform sample. He said that the chlorine residual at the plant had not changed, but that they had been conducting more flushing in their distribution system. The sample was taken at the Fire Hall, which is located at the end of their distribution system. He said he would keep a closer eye on the chlorine residual. Coliform results have been routinely collected only at the one Fire Hall site. I told him that they should rotate sampling to get more samples representative of other areas of the distribution system. ACTION NEEDED: System must maintain a detectable residual throughout the distribution system and conduct coliform sampling according to a written sample plan that identifies a sample site rotation schedule. | ||
