| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Pressure issue within the Distribution System Assistance DETAILS: Kathy Miller of PUC indicated that one customer within the water system is upset due to inadequate water pressure at his residence. In 2003, the system relocated the point of the subject residences service lateral connection to the distribution main in order to comply with OAR 333-061-0050 Standards pertaining to water pressure at the property line. Kathy requested that we look into the problem and verify legal requirements of service connections. HBH contacted Mike Meszaors of Curry County to gain insight on background of the complaint. Mike provided copies of system maps and correspondence from the system to the homeowner regarding relocation of the service connection. I contacted the homeowner to verify the nature of his complaint and whether any additional pressure problem was experienced following relocation of the service connection. I wrote summary letter identified responsibility of the system to meet State Construction Standards contained in OAR 333-061-0050, and with suggested modifications to private lateral piping to improve performance.
