| Details: | SUMMARY: Provide assistance to City with spring intake problems DETAILS: HBH was contacted to provide assistance to the system on a number of issues. The first of which had to do with the inspection of and evaluation of an above ground section of piping at a creek crossing. The District is concerned that the structures and piping section are aging and could pose a major vulnerability for their system. They initially called for a structure evaluation of the supports on the piping section. We visited the site of piping crossing and performed a visual inspection of the frame supports. We utilized a plunge test to test the wood for rot and found some rot on at least one of the support structures. Other structures appeared to be in good conditions. We follow up with a report with our findings and opinion of the structure integrity of the crossing. We provide some potential solutions and rough cost figures for making improvements. ACTION NEEDED: Provide other assistance as required. | ||
