| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed recent positive fecal coliform sample and repeat samples with John and Angela Webb. DETAILS: John Stated that his wife drew the sample on 2/28/08 and she noticed that the bottles were sticky. He does not know why the sample was positive for Fecal Coliform. I asked John if he posted PN and he assured me that he did. I asked him to fax me a copy he said he would. Brad Daniels from the DWP asked John to post PN on 3/04/08. On 3/5/08 I received a call from Brad Daniels saying that he heard from the Pacific Analytical Lab that the 4 repeats that John Webb dropped off on 3/4/08 were suspicious. The lab believes that the water in the sample bottles was boiled. After much discussion with John Webb he admitted that he dropped off the wrong set of sample bottles to Pacific Analytical Lab. His plan was to give Waterlab the boiled water repeats to check Waterlabs analysis process and give Pacific Analytical Lab the "real" samples. I discussed how falsifying samples was not acceptable and John Webb blew up and turned the phone over to hi wife Angela. I gave her the phone number for the Oregon Public Health Lab and recommended that instead of playing a game with the systems coliform samples that she instead file a complaint with the Public Health Lab. In the interim John Webb has quit his duties as water system operator and I believe as manager of the mobile home park too. I asked Angela to ensure that 4 valid repeat samples are delivered to the lab on 3/6/08. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for the faxed PN. Call Pacific Analytical Lab to ensure that the repeat samples were delivered. Call new operator regarding next step when repeat results are in. | ||
