| Details: | SUMMARY: I discussed disinfection with the operator DETAILS: The operator states he pulled the submersible well pump on 2/8 to repair it. He then collected a special sample at the well on 2/11 which was TC positive. He believes he did not properly disinfect the pump prior to reinstalling it. He states he issued a boil water advisory on 2/8 to his tenants as a precautionary measure and then reported the positive TC sample results to them, in writing, on 2/15 and continued the boil water notice. The boil water advisories are attached.I discussed with him that the boil water advisory notice was not required nor needed for public health at this time but he preferred to leave it in place. We discussed at length how to disinfect the entire system, including post-disinfection sampling. He stated he will disinfect this coming week and contact me re the sample results.
